Hey Cruisers -
Delbert here. I just want to update you on the cruise. Yes, it’s happening. We will have an SBC 20 and I hope you’ll all be there. Heading into the SBC 19, we were sure it would be the last cruise. Ragena was retiring and it takes a lot of work to make the cruise happen. Of course, we still have Molly and her crew and Wendy and Gary and we are now partnering with Sixthman, an operation out of Atlanta. Sixthman hosts a bunch of cruises including Cayamo, Kid Rock, The Rock Boat, etc. Paul Thorn and his people brought us together with Sixthman and ultimately we agreed to go forward just the day before SBC 19 sailed.
You may have noticed a couple of their people on board the ship during our cruise, like Kappy taking reservations with Susie. We insisted that they be there even though they have done over 50 cruises, because we know our cruise is unique. You guys make it that way. I try to find musicians and artists that get what we do and somehow we have the best family reunion every year. To me the scheduled shows and the spontaneous shows are equally important.
So SBC 20 will be on the Norwegian Pearl, January 19-26, 2014. The ship is great. The venues are the best we’ve ever had and I’m really excited. So far we have confirmed Marcia Ball, Richard Thompson, Paul Thorn, Al Anderson, Band of Heathens, Chuck Cannon, Bruce Channel, Glen Clark, Nick Connolly, Brian Dunne, Fred Eaglesmith, Mingo Fishtrap, Danny Flowers, Jimmy Hall, Teresa James, Joe Maher, Clay McClinton, the McCrary Sisters, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Gary Nicholson, Spooner Oldham, Jill Sobule, Wayne Toups, Foy Vance, Kevin Welch and Lari White with more to come.

In years past, the annual Tater House Jam in Kinston, NC was traditionally held on the first Saturday in November. This year, due to scheduling issues for Delbert, the Tater House Jam will be held on November 9th, the SECOND Saturday in November. We're drawing attention to this months before since we know many of you have to plan your excursions far in advance of the actual date. Sadly, this means you will not get that extra hour of sleep provided by the change back to standard time. So now you know and we look forward to seeing you there.
